Heavy Duty Magnetic Sweeper – 14 Inch | Quick Release

The Heavy Duty Magnetic Sweeper – 14 Inch with Release is a compact and durable magnetic pickup tool designed to collect ferrous metal debris from workshop floors, garages, warehouses, construction sites, driveways and industrial work areas. Featuring a 14-inch (approximately 355mm) magnetic sweeping width and a convenient release mechanism, this magnetic sweeper makes it easier to collect and dispose of nails, screws, wire, metal fragments and other magnetic debris.

Rather than manually picking up sharp metal objects, the magnetic sweeper can be passed over the ground to attract loose iron and steel debris. Once collected, the release mechanism allows the captured metal to be discharged into a bin or designated disposal area, reducing the need to remove sharp objects individually from the magnetic surface.

Its compact 14-inch width makes this model particularly useful for workshops, garages and areas where a larger magnetic sweeper may be difficult to manoeuvre.

Key Features

  • Heavy-duty magnetic sweeper and pickup tool
  • 14 inch / approximately 355mm sweeping width
  • Convenient release mechanism for easier cleaning
  • Collects loose ferrous metal debris
  • Helps retrieve nails, screws, wire and steel fragments
  • Reduces direct handling of sharp metal objects
  • Compact size for workshops and confined areas
  • Reusable permanent magnetic collection system
  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor work areas
  • Ideal for commercial, industrial and DIY applications

What Can a Magnetic Sweeper Pick Up?

This 14-inch magnetic sweeper is designed to collect magnetically susceptible iron and steel objects, including:

  • Nails
  • Screws
  • Nuts and bolts
  • Washers
  • Staples and fasteners
  • Steel wire and offcuts
  • Metal fragments
  • Ferrous swarf and shavings
  • Small steel tools and components
  • Other magnetic workshop debris

Non-magnetic materials such as aluminium, copper, brass, plastic, timber and many grades of stainless steel will not be collected effectively.

Common Applications

  • Engineering workshops
  • Automotive workshops
  • Garages
  • Warehouses
  • Manufacturing facilities
  • Construction sites
  • Fabrication areas
  • Driveways and yards
  • Maintenance departments
  • Home workshops and sheds

Quick Release for Easier Debris Removal

A key feature of this heavy duty magnetic sweeper is its integrated release system.

Ferrous debris can attach firmly to a magnetic pickup surface, particularly small nails, screws and sharp steel fragments. The release mechanism allows collected material to be discharged more conveniently into an appropriate container or disposal area.

This helps reduce the need to manually pull sharp objects from the magnet and makes the sweeper faster to clean between uses.

Help Reduce Tyre Punctures and Workplace Hazards

Loose nails, screws, wire and other sharp metal debris can create problems in workshops, warehouses, construction areas and industrial yards. These objects may cause tyre punctures, equipment damage or workplace hazards if they are not removed.

Regular use of a magnetic floor sweeper can help locate and collect ferrous debris that may be difficult to see, particularly in dusty, cluttered or high-traffic work environments.

The compact 14-inch sweeping width is ideal for moving around machinery, benches, shelving and other areas where larger magnetic sweepers may be less practical.

Ideal for Workshops, Garages and Industrial Maintenance

The 14-inch magnetic sweeper with release is a practical tool for mechanics, fabricators, tradespeople, maintenance teams, warehouse operators and DIY users who regularly work around metal components and fasteners.

Its compact format provides useful magnetic coverage while remaining easy to manoeuvre through tighter areas. It can be used as part of routine workshop housekeeping or after fabrication, maintenance and construction work to locate potentially hazardous ferrous debris.

How to Use a Magnetic Sweeper

Move the magnetic sweeper across the area where metal debris may be present, keeping the magnetic collection surface appropriately close to the ground. Ferrous objects that enter the magnetic field will be attracted towards the sweeper and retained for removal.

Once debris has accumulated, position the sweeper over a suitable collection container or disposal area and operate the release mechanism to discharge the collected metal.

For best results, sweep the area systematically and repeat passes where small or partially concealed ferrous debris may be present.

Please Note

Actual pickup performance depends on factors including the size, weight, shape, orientation and magnetic properties of the debris, as well as the distance between the object and magnetic sweeper.

Magnetic attraction decreases rapidly with distance. Objects buried beneath thick material, positioned in deep cracks or separated from the sweeper by a significant air gap may not be collected effectively.

This product is designed for ferromagnetic debris and will not collect non-magnetic materials such as aluminium, copper, brass, plastic, timber or glass.

Strong magnetic fields may affect pacemakers, medical implants, magnetic storage media and sensitive electronic equipment.
