  • Pull Force*

The Pull Force listed for each magnet is based on lifting 10mm thick steel from a horizontal surface. Magnets on a vertical surface (of 10mm thick steel) are generally able to hold around only 30% of the pull force listed in the product description. This is due to the effects of gravity and the lack of friction between the surface and the shiny magnet. Read More

Magnetic Product Description:

This Ceramic Ferrite magnet is a permanent magnet with pull force of 2.1KG and is axially magnetised. More cost friendly than our Neodymium Disc Magnets, this is one of our most popular products. This ferrite disc magnet has a diameter of 40mm and a thickness of 10mm. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 10009.

Uses for our ferrite disc magnets:

Our ferrite disc magnets come in a variety of sizes. Some applications for ferrite magnets are: handcrafts, souvenirs, fridge magnets, whiteboard magnets and/or educational magnets. When assembling products or handcrafts, an epoxy glue is recommended for ferrites. Once the bonding surface has been cleaned and dried of the thin film of magnetic powder found on these magnets. Ferrite Magnets play useful holding, releasing and re-holding functions in many design, engineering and visual displays. Magnets help regulate the movement of parts in electronics, equipment and electrical systems. These small magnets are also often used throughout the tertiary education sector in a variety of different roles. These roles are further detailed in this article ‘Science Circus Africa’ uses AMF Ferrite Magnets in their Education Program
